What customers say?

“ Pretty decent place. Food wasn't bad. I ordered a chicken cheese steak sandwhich and a Philly cheesesteak, grilled cheese sandwhich, fried pickles, snickers shake, and brownie shake. The shakes had big pieces in it and was thick. The place has drive thru and you can sit inside. Not bad to try. I recommend. ”

“ Commonwealth Store ( Jacksonville, fl ) I recently visited Hwy 55 and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious, surpassing my expectations for a quick-service restaurant. The menu offers a great variety of classic American favorites, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. One of the highlights of our visit was the speed of service. our food arrived quickly without compromising on quality. This efficiency is a testament to the well-organized and capable staff at Hwy 55. A special shoutout to Nicole, the field training manager I think she was she was. Nicole's warm hospitality and attentiveness made our dining experience truly memorable. She ensured that everything was to our satisfaction and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome for our first time. Her dedication and professionalism make her the best manager I have ever encountered in the restaurant industry. Overall, Hwy 55 at Commonwealth in Jacksonville, fl is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for great food, fast service, and outstanding management. “ Sure, here’s a sample experience of enjoying a burger at Highway 55: --- Walking into Highway 55 felt like stepping back in time, with its retro diner vibe and friendly, casual atmosphere. I ordered one of their classic burgers, and when it arrived, it looked perfect—juicy beef patty, crisp lettuce, melted cheese, and a toasted bun. The first bite was everything I hoped for. The patty was flavorful and juicy, cooked just right, with a hint of seasoning that made it pop. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp, giving a nice contrast to the rich cheese and beef. I went for their standard toppings, but they offer all kinds of extras to make it your own. The fries on the side were crispy and golden, the perfect companion to the burger. I also ordered a shake—rich, creamy, and a little indulgent. The experience reminded me of the simple joys of a classic American meal done right. Highway 55 doesn’t just serve burgers; it offers a slice of nostalgia and a genuinely enjoyable meal. Would definitely go back for another round! ”

“ This was my first time going to eat their food. As a born and raised floridan highway 55 is a restaurant that is not in florida so it was something ive never heard of before. The manager said this is the only location in florida right now. I ordered a burger and fries and took home a concrete. I had their special sauce on my fries. I think the highlight of my entire meal was the sauce and the burger. The sauce was tangy and comparing it to Italian dressing sauce does not do it justice. The burger patties were definitely bigger than steak and shake. The general manager even showed compassion to another customer and held open the door for them as they left the store. That shows even more kindness for the customers. I noticed they already have usuals who come back because he spoke to the customer by his name. I definitely will be comming back here and i highway 55 far exceeded my expectations and i went in there not knowing what to expect. Thank you all. Oh and i noticed they do fund rasiers for chruches in jax and you can scan a barcode and become a pic on their screen for everyone to see when they come in. ”

“ What a great place. Good food, great service, and everyone was friendly. If you're not close, It's a bit of a drive, but you can take 295 from any part of town to get there easily, and to me it's definitely worth the drive when I'm craving it. ”

“ certainly no 5 guys, although i'm not sure which came first. everything is slightly overpriced, as is tradition, but close to fair enough to justify a return visit. i was disappointed with their 'concrete' offerings....the frozen yogurt tastes cheap & bland, lacking any real taste - in my humble opinion, Culvers has much better frozen yogurt. ”
